Boy in the wall

Teddy had been homeless for a while, sitting in his little box, hoping that someone may drop some yen for him out of pity. Though at this point it seemed hopeless, he was now a fourteen year old boy and far less cute than he was before. He only had one repeat visitor and that was a boy named Kuu. It was a strange name but he showed up everyday since he was ten. How had he survived four years on his own was amazing but how Kuu had been surviving his cruel parents was even more amazing. "Kuu-chan....Why have you been visiting me every day? Don't you have school or something...?"

Not that he was any better, he hadn't been to school in years and had only been able to learn things through discarded books. And that was all just to pass the time.

When their food arrived, Kuu smiled at his friend and couldn't help it but tease him a little when instead of eating, he just gawked at all the food.

"Should I feed you?" He whispered to Teddy's ear after he leaned in closer.

Teddy's cheeks turned bright red as a shiver rolled down his spine as Kuu's hot breath hit his ear, he nearly fell out of his seat as he gazed at him. He quickly pouted when he realized Kuu was teasing him.

"You're so cute..." Kuu added before pulling away; he wasn't teasing this time, he really meant it. "Let's eat, Teddy."

He wouldn't start without him, anyway. Kuu didn't eat much, letting Teddy eat.

Teddy blushed even more when Kuu called him cute, "I'm not the cute one. You are..." He murmured as he tugged on his hood shyly. When did Kuu get so flirty?

Teddy quickly started scarfing down his meal, causing more people to start gazing at him like he was trash but he was too busy eating to glare at them.

Teddy's flattery made Kuu blush as well as he shook his head. He never considered himself as someone who's cute.

Kuu glared at all of them instead. He couldn't understand those adults, shouldn't they mind their own business. He was watching Teddy wolfing down the meal, too and smiled softly. If he only could take him here everyday...

Teddy came to a stop on eating once he felt stuffed with food, sighing softly as he smiled softly. How long has it been since he felt full? Far too long. Now he's have the energy to work through the night and build his winter shelter. "Thank you Kuu-chan..."

He smiled at him before moving to get up and dust himself off. "We should get to work."

"Alright. Lead the way, Teddy."

Everytime his friend called him "Kuu-chan", he felt something warm blooming in his chest. Nobody ever called him that, expect from Teddy.

"What should I be looking for?"

"Anything large and sturdy. And anything we use as nails or rope." Teddy responded as they were walking outside, his eyes scanning around the alleys and side walk. He picked up what looked like a large and long plastic window. "I found our roof."

"Y-You're so strong, Teddy!" Kuu gasped, hurrying to help out the other boy. He looked around just as Teddy told him to, but he was nowhere as experienced as he was.

"I'll get you nails and rope, I promise." He already had a plan in mind, but he didn't want to tell Teddy the truth. It wouldn't be all that difficult for him to walk into a tool shop and grab everything he friend needed.

Teddy was actually really relieved when Kuu came to help him, he wasn't sure how much longer he'd be able to hold it up. Truth be told he kind of wanted to show off to Kuu. His cheeks tinted pink from his praise as he murmured a soft 'whatever'.

He nodded when Kuu promised to get him nails sand rope, this years winter shelter was going to be great....

Needless to say that he succeeded; Kuu was so impressed that he couldn't stop flattering Teddy and his skills.

In order to get what he had promised, Kuu told him that he knew exactly where he could find those. Although, not only did he grab nails and rope, but also a roll of stone wool which would most certainly help Teddy during cold winter nights.

"Hey, I've got the things you need!" He waved at his friend and showed him the stuff he stole from the shop.

Teddy grew very flushed as he was showered with praise, so flushed that his ears turned red with embarrassment. Kuu's opinion meant a lot to the other boy. So much so that if Kuu were to ever hate him..... Teddy would definitely end his life.

A world without Kuu was a world he refused to live in. His eyes widened when he saw the building material Kuu had gathered just for him. He moved to reach out and hug the other boy.

No one had ever been as kind to Teddy as Kuu had been. "Thank....you...."

Kuu could say exactly the same about Teddy, though. When the boy pulled him into a hug, Kuu felt his heart racing in his chest, but he didn't mind if Teddy would notice that. He wanted to know how important Teddy was to him.

"No big deal. I can't always be by your side to warm you, but it'll be so much better with this thing." Kuu chuckled, clenching his fingers on the fabric of Teddy's hoodie. He wished that the other boy would never let him go.

Teddy buried his face in his shoulder as he rested against him. How did he ever grow so lucky to have Kuu in his life? He quietly murmured it over and over, wanting him to know how much he meant to him.

He pulled away from him to start gathering the things, thankful they had dropped off their roof for now.

They were more or less done before the sun went down; they still had to work on some details, but they could do it tomorrow as well. Tucked in Teddy's winter house, Kuu snuggled into him, smiling widely.

"Nice work, Teddy."

Teddy couldn't believe how quickly they had finished. This was the first time they had such a sturdy home. The two had even violently kicked it and it didnt fall. But he wasn't thinking about that. No, was thinking more about the fact that Kuu had him sitting in his lap and was nuzzling him.

His cheeks were still pink and every now and then he'd shiver as his hot breath hit his neck.

"Are you so tired that you don't want to talk?" Kuu laughed, even though he knew that wasn't it. One look at Teddy's blushing face made it clear.

"I think we did a great job, you know? It makes me happy that you'd be warm even if it snowed."

Actually, depending on what will happen tomorrow, Kuu wanted to ask Teddy to live with him in the flat.

Teddy wasn't always talkative and that was clear. Teddy shyly nuzzled into him, blushing deeply at the new show of affections. Their fingers were still laced together and their bodies pressed together kept both boys nice and warm.

"I won't go cold anymore." He promised, he didn't want the other to worry.

"I....can walk you back in the morning..."

"Really? That would be so great..." Kuu raised his head and booped Teddy's nose with his own.

"Hey, Teddy...I'd like to ask you one thing," He began shortly after, his voice trembling a little. "You...you wouldn't leave me no matter what happens, right?"

Teddy quickly turned his head away when Kuu got too close, his cheeks flushing deeply from how close they had just been. "D-don't do that...." he murmured shyly.

He blinked when Kuu asked him such a strange question. "I wouldn't leave you, even if you turned out to be some killer or something.." he murmured, cheeks flushing.

[waills]

"Oh..." Kuu's eyes started to shine when Teddy answered him. That meant a lot to him and for a moment he found himself at loss. But in a moment, he realized what he should do.

Kuu, despite what Teddy had said before, leaned in close again and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Me? A killer? You're so funny, Teddy!"

Teddy made a small sound in surprise once he felt Kuu's strangely cool lips press against his very warm cheek. It was very embarrassing but Teddy did nothing to pull away.

He even pressed a little closer to Kuu, Teddy opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by a soft tap on their clear roof, then it slowly turned into pitter patter.

When he looked up, he saw that it was now raining outside and raining hard. "Ah..." He cuddled closer to him for warmth.

"Do you want to sleep? I'll stay awake." Kuu offered, stroking Teddy's hair soothingly. He could only imagine how many sleepless nights Teddy had spent on those streets. "I'll wake you up if something happens."

"No... If it's raining then someone is bound to try and get in here." Which meant Teddy would have to be very vigilant. Though Kuu's warm embrace made him feel very sleepy, his body warmth, despite being slightly cooler than his own body made him feel soothed and safe.

"I'll protect you." A strong conviction rang in Kuu's voice as he pulled Teddy closer. For once, he wanted his friend to rest and not to worry about what could happen.
